Forces of Nature: Tragon Trouble
FORCES OF NATURE: TRAGON TROUBLE, BOOK 1
INTRODUCTION:
Death (Medtyx) and life (Suva). It’s all-natural. They are the only two forces of nature that reign supreme amongst the others- Fire (Xodnos), Ice (Crysta), Lightning (Barak), and Earth (Huanke). All of them, being the major forces, have passed on their powers from generation to generation. What I didn't take into notice was that me and my friends would soon stumble into their world and soon become them. Destined to protect the other world and free it from an ancient evil... and its terrible abomination.
Chapter 1: The Videogame
“MATTHEW!!! GET UP ALREADY! It's time for school! Come down fast and have breakfast!” My mom shouted, jolting me awake. Grumbling, I said, “Coming mom!” I got up, brushed my teeth, got fresh, and all the other stuff. I changed into my dark blue trousers and a light blue shirt. I packed my school bag and hurried down to eat breakfast. It was the usual stuff, a glass of milk with a slice of butter bread. I calmly sat down. My little brother was looking at me, MENACINGLY! just kidding my brother isn't possessed, probably smiling about something. But I didn’t have time to think about it, because it was then that I saw the time. I then realized I was going to be late. I started wolfing down my food. “Matthew, finish your breakfast, the bus will be here in 3 minutes!” (I know mom.) “Way ahead of you mom!” I spoke. Just as I was done, I quickly went out, with my bag on my shoulders. I could see my bus. I ran to it and went in and sat in the back with my friends. “So, the Leader is finally here,” Cyrus said. “Give me a break, cy,” I replied. “Meet me in the cafeteria. There’s something I want to tell you guys.” Edric said.
“What is it that you want to tell us now? The same old boring videogames you keep talking about?” Virginia said. “No, I don’t- They are not- this one is-” He protested, but was cut off by Bianca. “She’s right you know? All your games are somewhat boring.” “I’d wager on that. Some of his games are fun.” Petra said. “Exactly!!” Edric told Bianca. “Oh look, we’re here,” I spoke. Our school was a tall building, with 7 floors and about 40 rooms. The middle of it has an elevator, no doors, no stairs. Just use the elevator system, that’s how we do things here. We got in the elevator, did the elevator stuff, and cue the music. I'll spare you the details of what happened in our classes and skip to the part where we have our conversation with Edric.
“Spill it,” I said, slurping my orange smoothie.
“I'll tell you,” Edric began.
He was a boy of normal height, a little thin, had a little muscular build-up, like me and Cyrus here, wore black trousers with a magenta shirt, and was really, really into videogames.
“This game is awesome. It's extremely rare. But my dad, you know one of the richest, managed to get a copy of it, not to brag. And I also have this other game called-”
“Just get to the point,” Cyrus growled, clearly impatient.
“Ok, ok! chill. As I was saying, this game has only a few copies. So, it is rare. It's called The Legends of Nature. But it needs a minimum of 6 players. So, I thought, all of our group has six people... why not play together? It’s awesome, I tell you. It’s got realistic graphics and a split-screen! Nobody knows who made this game or where it was made. All we know is that one day, a really good video game designer guy goes into an antique shop where they sell old and boring games for no reason at all, he then finds the original copy of the game, he found it interesting and made a new and better version of it he then announces he has made a new game with only 50 copies, it is said whoever plays the game, they disappear. The last part is a rumor I heard so don’t
know if it is true.”
“Ok...,” I said. “Kinda sus.”
“So... do you guys want to play?” Edric said.
“How about we vote,” Cyrus said.
“Good idea,” Virginia said.
“I’m not voting. it's my game, u guys decide.” Edric declared immediately.
“Neither am I" Virginia quickly decided.
So, we voted. Here are the results:
Yes No
Me Cyrus
Petra Bianca
“It's an even,” Petra said.
“Yep.” Bianca agreed.
“Tough luck.” Edric said.
“We should choose someone from Edric or Virginia to even it out a bit,” Bianca said
“Any volunteers?” I asked.
“I’ll decide.” Virginia offered.
“Okay!” Edric said, crossing his fingers.
“We shall and will...” Virginia began.
“...play.”
Chapter 2: The Gameworld
AND THEN THAT’S WHERE IT BEGAN. The goosebumps. We were at Edric’s house. It was the middle of the night, and most of the town was asleep.
“Take the game out,” Bianca said.
“Ok.” Said Edric. With that, he opened a drawer, took a game cd, and dusted it, before holding it out for all to see it was half brown, half green. And in a black box, it was written in glowing white crystals,
The Legends Of Nature
“Ain’t she a beauty?” Edric grinned. He took out the cd and fed it into his GBox(Game box) series S and turned it on. The Game whirred. It had started.
‘PLEASE SELECT A NAME FOR YOUR PARTY’
A female voice said from the game. “How about FORCES OF NATURE?” Edric said.
“I'm good with it,” I replied.
‘FORCES OF NATURE. PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR CHARACTERS. WILL YOU CHOOSE MEDTYX(Death), XODNOS(Fire), BARAK(Lightning), SUVA(Life), CRYSTA(Ice), OR HUANKE(Earth)?’
“It’s all voice-activated.” Edric beamed. “It has Character choosing. Choose wisely.”
“Cool,” Petra said. “What else do u do in the game?”
“Nothing. rest is all normal. The usual. cut, slice, defend, repeat. Do quests that sort of stuff. I haven't played it yet.”
“Medtyx.” I Declared.
“Xodnos,” Cyrus said.
“Barak” Edric grinned.
“Suva” Virginia implied.
“Crysta” Bianca offered
“Huanke” Petra sighed.
‘ARE YOU SURE THIS IS THE TEAM YOU WANT TO FORM? ONCE YOU DO, THERE’S NO GOING BACK.’
“Yes yes. I am sure.” Edric said.
'YOU HAVE MET THE CONDITIONS'
Then a blueish portal opened above, and we got sucked into it.
“Hooooollyyyy shhh-”
“I'm gonna die!!!”
“AHHHHHHHHHH!!”
Silence. Blue wormhole. Heavy breathing. Terrified expressions. Then we continued.
“AAAAAaaaaaaaa!!”
“AAAaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!”
“AAAAAAAAAAA!!!”
On we screamed. My stomach attempted to do a black flip. Then silence. More screaming.
“This is crazy!!!” Petra screamed.
“This is awesome!!”, right?” Edric said, seemingly enjoying it.
“This is not cool!!” All of us shouted.
“We’re all gonna die! we’re all gonna die! we’re all gonna die!!!!!” Bianca shouted.
“AAAARrrrrGgh!!!” I screamed.
THUD.
I felt grass. Lots and lots of grass.
“My everything hurts,” Virginia moaned.
“Ouch, ouch, ouch,” Bianca exclaimed.
“This is bad, this is oh so bad. What are we gonna do in here?” I said.
“Gee, I Dunno Matthew. How about getting out of here? Oh, wait. We have no way to get out!” Petra said.
“I’m sure we’ll find a way,” Edric said.
“Hold on. I wonder-” I began.
I walked towards the direction we were facing. Then I traced my hand in the air. As soon as it touched the
boundary, green light spread out upwards and wide, as much as the eye could see.
“This is crazy. We appear to be in a Gameworld. it's just like in the movies!.” Virginia observed. She was in a white and pink frock. Which she was not wearing before.
Not a game... A new universe.
“It appears that somehow our clothing is changed,” I said, looking directly at her.
“This game is Possessed!!!!” Petra Screamed.
“Dude.... you look rad!!!” Cyrus said to me.
I looked down at my clothes I suddenly jumped with horror...
I was wearing what seemed to be a necklace made of skulls, a black and red leather jacket with bone etchings, black and red leather pants to match, and...
I went to the river near us. I looked in the water and I was wearing a crown made of perfect red rubies shaped like bones. I looked at Cyrus and said, “I can say the same about you. but above it all... your neck is on fire.”
He instinctively went towards the river and jumped in, he came out without any fire, but after a few moments, his neck was burning again. Literally. Everyone had changed too, apparently according to the characters they had chosen. The only thing familiar was their faces.
Then I heard growling behind us. I turned to see-
We were in a giant jungle with lots of sunlight, and lush greenery, but that’s not what caught my eye. It was the giant frog that was slowly coming out of the water.
Then a slice. Growl, screeching.
There was a sword through its throat. It died, leaving only the skin and the skeleton intact. Then the skeleton stood up and sat, with a deep growl. We were then met with two grinning black skeleton warriors. Their eyes searched through us, then stopped at me.
“Uhm... Hi?”
They kneeled.
“Freaky,” Cyrus said.
Then, they started chopping the trees, and in no time a camping ground was set. With enough space for eight campers. With six makeshift beds, made of leaves and frog skin.
“And you’re officially commander of the dead.” Edric elbowed.
We camped. We laughed. We ate. We ate frog-leg jerky. Along with weird-looking fruits. We talked.
“I’m thinking,” Virginia said. “That we should name them,” she said, pointing at the skeletons with her chin.
“That’s not a bad idea. What-do-Ya-say, Matty-matt? Bianca said.
“Gamrroth, Warrpat, and Uvoburr,” I said.
“Sorry?” Edric said.
“The names.”
“Not bad...,” Cyrus said from the fire.
“The frog skeleton is Gamrroth, the skeleton with the sword and shield Warrpat, and the one with the ax Uvoburr,” I explained while beaming at them.
“Nice...” Virginia edged a bit away. Clearly not understanding my ingenuity at naming.
“Well, that concludes dinner. Let's sleep.” Edric said.
And sleep we did. The skeletons acted as watch guards.
Not needing to sleep.
At all.
Cyrus woke me at the crack of dawn.
“Look!” He said, pointing at a glowing spinning orb rising into the air. All the others were already up and were watching with keen interest.
“It came out of Virginia’s hand as soon as she woke up. Then she let out a scream, it woke us up. Then you muttered something about a gummy bear then went back to sleep.” Edric said.
The spinning orb was spinning faster. And higher. Then it burst. Before us stood a pale lady in a long white gown.
“Greetings, forces. I’m Elean, Queen of the elves. We are a race sworn to protect nature. I see that you have already discovered that one of you is the king of the dead. You must meet me in Elixir city. Home of the Dwarves and elves alike.” Elean said. “Once you are there, my guards will train you and I'll make you go on quests. For you must one day face the rogue monarch, Chaos. And put an end to his tale. Onwards,
Medtyx! Suva! Lead your teams! You need to reach the
city by the full moon, in 4 days. Chaos seeks
to destroy. By the time you come, the dwarves would've had weapons made for you!
CHAPTER 3: THE ELIXIR CITY
WE TREKKED ON FOR MILES. Well, technically Gamrroth was the one doing trekking. But he somehow for some reason had eternal stamina, and he was big enough for all of us, including the skeleton warriors. Anyway, we camped for 4 nights. The next night would have a full moon. We had to hurry. Fortunately, we could see the city. We were in the plains, out of the forest. The city a great cluster of buildings and towers made of silver and ringed with gold was beautiful and the city looked even more wondrous at the night. The dwarves and elves were talented.
“Omigod...” They all said.
“I hope Osyrius doesn't destroy that city,” Virginia said, nodding at the big, burning giant on which Cyrus rode, reducing everything flammable around them to cinders. While simultaneously dwarfing my giant frog in size. Yep. You read that right.
Along the journey we made, everyone on the team had got a gigantic titan friend. Except me. All of those titans my friends had were elemental and equipped accordingly. Lemme tell Ya what the others had...
Edric had a giant being that glowed at night because of the 500,000,000,000-volts of pure electricity that revolved around the titan, which could call upon thunder and lightning whenever, wherever. And the specialty was to create thunder tornados and thunder cyclones(though the damage it did varied). That guy gave me the heebie-jeebies at night. Those merciless, emotionless eyes keep watching me... long and short-range, melee.
Virginia had a gigantic lady in white silk whose skin was pale green and could heal anything even if someone was dying, no problem-o! You've got a titan with crazy superpowers who is the literal embodiment of life!! Yay... Support type.
Bianca had a masculine titan made of ice, hail, icicles, sleet, and snow. He could produce a Laser-like freeze ray from his mouth and a similar one from his hand but instead of freezing, it made all types of icy disasters happen, from ice spikes to snowstorms to blizzards to all things ice. He was a ranged type.
Petra err... she had... The scariest and strongest yet. He was in all types, tank, support, melee, you name it. It could mold, bend and control the literal earth itself. Yep... Let’s just say we’re lucky to have that humongous guy on our side.
As for what I got so far, were more and more soldiers in my army. Most were animals and monsters, but there were a few ice and fire mages as well from one of the wizard towers in which we decided to camp. Yep... I had approximately 2,456 soldiers in my army by now.
When we arrived in the city, we were not given access until all the titans were called off. The same wasn't for my army though they were taken to be a little part of the mortal armies of the elves and dwarves... ( ˘ ͜ʖ ˘)
After that, we were allowed in. Wow... I was at a loss of words, just like my friends. The foundations of the buildings were made of gold, the roof of gold and the middle of the whitest in pure marble.
These guys were extremely good, not to mention rich, and had great eyes for architecture with all those beautiful arches the planning was amazing all the buildings and I do mean ALL were placed specifically so that the sunshine or in this moment’s case, the moonlight mad them all glittery and sparkle.
‘The inhabitants bowed down at us, stood back up, and whispered,
‘is that them?’
‘It appears so.’
‘We are saved!’
CHAPTER 4: ARMS DOWN, HEADS UP, STAND STRAIGHT!
WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE CASTLE, we were greeted by little fairies that flitted about, some little energetic sprites running here and there. And a big, muscular dwarf. ‘My name is Gaven Goldchief. I’m the king of the Dwarves, the best blacksmith, the best swordsman, etc-etc.’
‘Nice to meet you... Ga... Gaven.’ I said.
‘Well, it’s my pleasure!’ he said.
He had gigantic arms, all muscular, probably from all the blacksmith stuff. He wore a black and gold outfit and he rocked it. He was wearing a golden belt and on it were all the tools a blacksmith could ever want.
‘Now, what are we waiting for? The Queen wants you! Please follow me.’
We followed him through long hallways, never-ending stairs through mazes upon mazes of hallways.
On the way, we then met a young sprite who announce that his name was Tricky Tricks, the prince of the sprites. He and the dwarven king seemed to have a rivalry.
Finally, we arrived at the Queen’s court. She was sitting on her throne and beside her was an empty one, probably for the king. I decided not to talk about it. She greeted our arrival with cups of welcome tea and yummy chocolate biscuits. YUM!
After the tea break, Petra asked the Queen what to do, to which she replied with a smile, ‘You’re going to train hard, of course!’
We were introduced to Custen Cinderaxe, who was the General of the dwarven army, had a similar muscular arm build-up, and wore the same pattern clothing as his king, but instead of black and gold, it was dark purple and gold. He looked very tough and was holding a bejeweled broadsword
‘Take good care of them, Custen. And put them to shape! You have 10 days to work on them. I don’t want any mishaps. I’ll take my leave now.’ Gaven Goldchief said. The dwarven general bowed, and then when the king was gone, he stood up faced us, and said in a loud, demanding booming and confident voice, ‘Arms down, stand straight and eyes on me!’ He was so loud!
We spent that whole day training. He made us do 50 pushups, 50 squats, 50 jumping jacks, and a bunch of other local exercises which I couldn't even pronounce.
What a disaster! All the time while the girls were doing simple yoga practices with an elven yoga teacher. Not fair. But all of us were on a strict diet of veggies.
All of this was so realistic that I thought that it wasn’t a game it was a whole new world, a whole new universe!
But I looked forward to the nights, and that kept me going. Because the rooms we got were very beautiful and the beds were softer than the softest silk. So were the pillows and the bedsheets. Ah, bliss. The next day, we did the usual exercises and then did target practice with dummies. Cyrus had discovered that he could summon fiery meteors out of nowhere shoot fireballs and become a flamethrower. Edric could summon lightning, shoot electric lasers out of his hands as well as shoot charged electric balls at his enemies. As for me, I could just extract the skeleton out of any living being and perform a spell to add it to my army. Yuck, it was so messy to watch. I discovered I could also suck my soldiers inside my body and store them in there.
The first time I did it, I felt tremendous pain and stomachache, and I passed out. I woke up in the royal infirmary 3-4 hours later. Virginia wasn’t an offense type, so all she got was healing powers which she could use at will. Bianca had fully mastered her element, and she could create literal alive snowmen in the blink of an eye. And the ice mages in my army began to get drawn towards her but stopped, knowing that they were dead and now belonged to me. Bianca could produce a freeze ray and do other chilling stuff... literally. Petra has now officially ascended to mother-earth level and can climb any surface, turn rocks to deadly spikes and make giant holes and/or cracks and crevices in the ground.
It was the night of the 10th day, and our extreme training was done. Tomorrow will be the day when we would finally get our mission and our weapons. I wonder what the others are thinking right now, I thought. Would they also be excited? For all I know, they should be, as this could be the mission when we would take down chaos.
And we would finally go home. Thinking about that, I smiled and fell asleep.
CHAPTER 5: HALF-TROLL, HALF-DRAGON???
ME AND MY FRIENDS MET AT THE QUEEN’S COURT IN THE MORNING. She was saying something about us being worthy and stuff and then she said, ‘...However, the thing is that to go on out for your mission, you will each need a weapon that will best suit your powers. Gaven, would you please do the honors?’
‘Yes, milady.’ Gaven said.
He then walked out of the room and came back pulling a large size cart with six weapons.
‘Forces, I am glad to announce that these weapons will greatly aid you in your next mission which I will announce after the weapons ceremony.’ She then nodded to her trusted advisor who pulled a lever and a stage popped up on one side of the room. She went to the stage, calling us behind her. She made us kneel. I was very nervous. What weapon would I get? A sword? Hammer? Scythe? Daggers? Or something else? Or would I not be getting any?
‘Starting with, Death, for you I have the scythe of death, to reap the souls of your enemy and to defend yourself.’ The Queen said, handing me the scythe.
‘Lightning, for you I shall give the trident of lightning, to call upon the thunder on your enemies and to produce thunderstorms to wreak havoc.’ She handed the trident to Edric, who responded, ‘Oooooooo Siick!’ Fire, to burn your enemies into ashes, you shall receive the sword of fire, which will produce firestorms to turn your enemies into cinder and melt even the hardest of rock and metal.’ She gave the fiery sword to Cyrus who was at loss for words.
‘Life is the only thing that keeps us going. For you, I have a staff, bestowed with the healing powers of life, so that you may be able to support your teammates in battle.’ She gave similar staffs to Petra and Bianca respectively each with abilities suiting their element.
‘Now, onto your mission. There have been sightings of Trolls with wings. We think they are hybrids by half-troll and half-dragon.’
‘You can’t be serious. HALF-TROLL, HALF-DRAGON? That's like the worst combo ever!’ Bianca said.
‘Yes, we know. And that is why we need you, forces, to eradicate this threat. The Tragons, as we call them, are extremely territorial. But that can change any time tomorrow. That is why you will need to go to the willow woods at the crack of dawn. And kill them before they wake up. But if they do, it would be very difficult, even for you, forces. As they are very strong, have the magical ability to breathe fire, grow in size and perform spells of dragons. They also have the crankiness for waking early, they have the bulk and strength, and also the body toughening and size growth abilities of the trolls. They are originally smaller than your average elf and have ugly faces and pale wings to match their pale skin. They have muscular arms, enabling them to throw boulders.
I am giving you this information as it will help you in finding them and killing them. Because no matter what, Hybrids will always be dangerous.’ The elven Queen Said. ‘Now, go to sleep. It’s a busy day tomorrow.
CHAPTER 6: Tragon Village Mayhem
TODAY IS THE DAY WE FIGHT THE TRAGONS.
We were given more information on them like they have an IQ of 67
and a battle IQ of 96 and then we were given a map of their estimated location inside the willow woods. We were given some armor and a 'protection ring' each which would protect us in the first 20 hits and then teleport us back into the castle and with that information we took off on the long ride to the willow woods.
We had been riding for quite some time now, me on my skeleton horse and my friends on their titans. It was then that a weak lightning blast was created by the lightning titan which lit up the area and showed us where we were: Tragon Village.
we heard noises about tragons murmuring and complaining about the lighting and after some tense seconds, there was silence. They were asleep, lucky for us. We had to tread carefully or we would be toast. We slowly made our way into the village with the night sky with stars as bright as silver above us and the silver moon gazing upon us. We tiptoed across pathways, turned around tragons, and slowly made our way towards the village chief's hut.
That's when Edric fell into a pond with a loud splash and his Trident charged the water with loud crackling electricity making a lot of noise.
I knew that all the Tragons had woke up because I heard their wild screeches and distaste at being woken from slumber as they sounded their battle horn then out of nowhere a giant ball of fire came from the village chief's hut and Petra suddenly put us inside an earth sphere for defense.
"EDRIC! HOW CAN YOU BE SO CARELESS?" I yelled at him angrily while preparing to call upon my summons.
"I'M SORRY! IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! I DIDN'T MEAN TO-" Edric was then cut off by a sudden crash and the earth sphere broke apart and a large hole revealed Head Village Chief Talos and his pet mount Andraz The Red Wyvern by his side. The chief was fully-armored with the bones of previous wyverns and other monsters he had slain. He was even wearing the skull of some kind of demonic bull. All this proved just how strong of a character Talos was.
"HOW DARE YOU DISTURB TALOS'S SLUMBER? TALOS WILL NOW MAKE YOU KNOW PAIN."
Talos said in his booming voice, igniting a giant ball of flame in the palm of his hand. The 12-foot-tall tragon then prepared to hurl the ball of fire at us but was blocked by Bianca's ice.
"HA! YOU ALMOST SURPRISED TALOS. BUT IT WILL TAKE MORE THAN LOW-QUALITY ICE TO DESTROY THE FLAMES OF MIGHTY TALOS!"
Then Talos was kicked away by Edric's Titan which left a nasty crackling burn on his body.
"Stay away from us!" Said Edric from the Titan's shoulder.
"HAHAHA! YES, AMUSE TALOS MORE!"
Talos said, growing as big as the Titan in size and punching it with a burning fist, knocking him out of the titan.
"EDRICCC!!" I screamed out loud when I don't know how, but I created this black shadow pool thing under Edric which teleported him away from the fight and to us. Virginia then healed his injuries from the impact and dressed his wound.
"CALL OUT ALL THE TITANS EVERYONE! NOW!" I commanded.
"RISE, MY ARMY OF DEATH! AID MY FRIENDS!" I said.
Suddenly the remaining titans emerged from the earth. Life, Fire, Ice, and Earth. Followed by my army of 3,678 skeletal soldiers.
"GUYS! GO TAKE EDRIC AND AID HIS TITAN AGAINST TALOS AND BRING YOUR TITANS ALONG!" I said.
"THAT'S FINE, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER GIANT TRAGONS COMING HERE?" Cyrus asked.
Urghh! I overlooked the Tragons Talos had sounded the battle horn too.
"ME AND MY ARMY WILL TAKE CARE OF THEM. YOU GO ASSIST THE LIGHTNING TITAN." I replied.
"Sure thing," Petra said, mounting her Titan and pulling a boulder out of the earth and throwing it at Talos. Then all of them started charging toward him.
Talos, with his hand on the lightning Titan's neck, looked in their direction and said,
"TALOS IS SURPRISED BY SEEING THIS MANY TITANS COMING AT HIM. HE MUST USE MORE THAN 10% OF HIS FULL POWER NOW."
"WHAT? YOU MEAN YOU WERE TOYING WITH US THIS WHOLE TIME?" Cyrus yelled at him.
"YES. TALOS WAS ONLY PLAYING WITH PUNY HUMANS. HE WILL HAVE TO TAKE THINGS A BIT MORE SERIOUSLY."
I heard all this and began to suspect more of our total failure at this mission but remembered the protection rings that would safely teleport us back to Elixir City.
I then reassured, turned back to my part of the fight, and faced the overgrown bodybuilders. Although they weren't as strong and smart enough to speak like their leader, they could still easily be able to use some magic from their dragonic traits and their skin toughening abilities from their troll side. I commanded my army to tackle the tragons and they were holding them pretty well. I just stood behind and took care of the occasional tragon which was able to break through but only after being severely damaged. Everything was good on my side up until an hour.
Then, all heck broke loose.
CHAPTER 7: The Prince and His Three Generals.
THERE WAS A HUGE PARTITION WITHIN the enemy army. Through that partition came the Heir to the Throne, The Village Prince Veo, and behind him, The Three Generals of the Tragon Army.
"WE HAVE COME TO DEFEAT THE PUNY HUMANS THAT THREATEN OUR PRECIOUS VILLAGE." Said Veo, a well-built Tragon, wearing the red dress and armor of the tragon prince with a red-dyed skull of a wyvern as the helmet. He was holding a faintly glowing longsword, indicating the presence of magic. My eyes widened and I was taken back to when Haela, The Elven Master of Magic had told us about enchanted weapons and their danger. She told us how to tell a normal weapon from a weapon imbued with magic.
'Not good at all.' I thought.
Before I could yell, Fall back! a Flaming circle appeared, completely cutting me off from my friends.
"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT." Said Veo, pointing his orange-glowing sword towards me as he grew bigger, bigger and bigger till he was towering above me. I then saw his weapon also grow bigger along with him.
"NOW IT'S JUST YOU, ME AND MY SWORD," Veo said.
Having a panic attack, I recalled all of my skeletal soldiers back inside my body to become more powerful myself. Sensing a blow from Veo, I braced myself and created a shield made from the power of death to cover me and stop the blow. Soon enough a flurry of what felt like flaming daggers kept hitting the shield for some time and suddenly stopped. I called off my shield and stood before Veo.
"SO YOU ARE MEDTYX, DEATH ITSELF... HOWEVER... YOUR CURRENT SKILLS WON'T WORK ON ME!"
And with that, he ignited his sword on fire and prepared to blast me into smithereens but I somehow took the giant shield from before and reshaped it to form a normal-shaped shield and a sword. Blocking his blow, I had survived. But for how long? I didn't even know.
"YOU AND YOUR TREACHERY TRICKS!! JUST GIVE UP ALREADY!"
Blow after blow, I persevered, mortally wounded. I used Death Energy and some of my soldiers to create a skeletal version of me wielding the same sword and shield I was. It sounds creepy, but I was used to it at this point.
We continued to fight, trading blow after blow. I knew I was losing. I had to do something. I looked over at my friends to see how they were doing.
It seemed like Petra and Bianca had managed to use their abilities to refrain Talos while Virginia stayed back and healed Cyrus.
"YOU THINK YOU CAN REFRAIN THE MIGHTY TALOS? TALOS WILL NEVER ALLOW IT!"
With that, he broke through the ice and earth barriers and swept all of my friends away, activating their Artifacts: Protection Rings. They were all defeated. Now they were back in The Elven City.
Which meant I was all alone against all the tragons.
With my friends gone, The Flame Circle was lifted and the Village Chief joined his son.
"HA! LOOKS LIKE YOUR ELEMENTALS HAVE LEFT YOU, O MEDTYX."
'No... I will not...'
With that, I took in all of my soldiers and Death Energy and expelled it all in the form of a Huge avatar of death which lifted me into the air and positioned me right in the middle of it. I did my best fighting both father and son for another hour. But they didn't back down and kept hitting me with their magic and my avatar started flickering. Talos hit me with one more of his fireballs and my avatar withered and died. I had hit my limit.
"HA! TALOS WINS! BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME, MEDTYX."
Talos triumphed in his victory as I got teleported back.
CHAPTER 8: Mission Report
I WOKE UP IN THE INFIRMARY ONCE AGAIN. All my friends were looking at me.
"Finally awake?" Said Cyrus, who had a huge bandage covering his back and a dwarven doc was tending to him.
"Hello, Cyrus. Yes. Where are the others?" I asked.
"They're out training for the final battle," Cyrus replied.
"I'm gonna go and catch up with them," I said.
"NO. You must stay and rest." Said the Doc.
"Then when can I go?" I asked
"Only when I tell you to." He said.
I was getting impatient and wanted to train so badly. I just wanted to win against the Tragons.
"OK. You can go now, Cyrus. Never let the flame inside you die." The doc said.
"Sure, doc. See you then." Cyrus replied as he put his shirt back on.
I then stared at him walking out of the infirmary and towards the training grounds.
"OK. Now you, should I call you Medtyx or...?"
"You can call me Matthew, Doc."
"Ok, Matthew. Let's see what injuries you have."
He told me to take my shirt off so he could do a checkup. He was surprised to see how many injuries I had but said they weren't that bad.
He put some weird ointment on them which gave me a burning sensation and force-summoned two of my soldiers.
"Control your powers, Matthew." He said.
I ignored the burning pain and called my soldiers back inside.
"Good. Now let the ointment rest and settle for 10 minutes. After it's done, put your shirt back on and then hurry to the training grounds." Doc said, preparing to leave.
"Wait!" I said
"What is it?" said the doc.
"May I know what is your name?"
"It's Ivankov. And that's Doctor Ivankov to you." Doctor Ivankov said.
Then he left me in the room, to wait out the 10 minutes.
Now that I have time to think about it, this 'game' just does not feel like a game. Everything is real, the fights, the pain, the people. Everything is just so real.
I looked around the room to see all the different ointments and medicines and touched and even smelt them.
Definitely reality.
The smell is real, the objects are real.
'Yup, ain't no way this is a videogame,' I thought.
After the 10 minutes were over, I went to the training grounds and saw no one there.
"HEY! Where is everybody?"
Then the Dwarven General Custen popped his head out of seemingly nothing, leaving me as confused and curious as a kitten.
"Get in here! This is the queen's magic. She's watching the training from above!" He said, eradicating my confusion.
I went inside and what I saw made me think I was in the best training grounds ever.
There was lush green grass everywhere and all around. It was like a space suspended between time and reality.
"Welcome, Medtyx. This is my space magic. Welcome to the training grounds."
"Thank you, Elean," I said, bowing my head.
"Your friends have already told me about how you had ordered them to hold Talos away while you bravely faced the rest of the army but they told me that Talos managed to defeat them all, only leaving you to fend them off."
"Yes, my queen, It is true I was the last to lose, "I said.
"Then I'm going to have to know what all had happened after."
So sure enough, I told her everything that had happened, following the victory of Talos over my friends.
About how I had learned to use Death Energy to create weapons, how I had combined the Death Energy and my soldiers to create a Huge death avatar, and how I had fought Talos and Veo.
And how they had used strategy to overpower me and defeat me.
"...And that is how I was defeated." I finished.
Both Custen and Elean widened their eyes in surprise.
"W-What?" I asked
"If we can manage to polish your newfound abilities, then...!" Custen's voice trailed off.
"...We can defeat the Tragons once and for all!" Elean said, finishing his sentence.
"...Nice?" I remarked, not believing my battle prowess.
"We must make you stronger at once," Custen said.
"I agree with Custen. But we must first know the true size of your avatar." Elean said.
"Petra! Call your titan out!" Custen ordered my friends.
She did as she was told and summoned the titan.
"Medtyx... no, Matthew. Can you activate your avatar again?" Elean asked.
"I think so. I'll give it a shot." I replied, getting ready.
I summoned all my soldiers. I reshaped them using Death Energy just like I remember.
Before I knew it, I felt my body being lifted by Death Energy and felt my soldiers forming the shape of a skeletal warrior wielding a sword and shield.
"Awesome...!" Everyone said in amazement.
CHAPTER 9: Final Training, Part 1
"THIS IS PHENOMENAL! YOU HAVE ALREADY MASTERED DEATH ENERGY!" Elean said, surprised.
I swung the sword to show off more and it made a slash-like projectile that seemed to travel forever.
"This is Marvelous!" Custen said.
Cyrus just looked at me in surprise. Edric was in shock.
"PETRA! attack your friend with your titan. MATTHEW! block the attack."
"Wait-" I began.
Before I knew it, I was able to sense an earth spike coming at me from behind. I don't know how, but I managed to turn around extremely fast and reshape my sword to form a broadsword and stop the earth spike. The aftermath of the impact and physics made my avatar fall and slide back a bit. I managed to counterattack the earth spike and swat it away like it was nothing.
"Marvelous! Wow!" Custen said in awe.
Following its orders to knock me out of my avatar, the earth titan came running at me with a spear conjured from solid rock.
Bracing myself, I decided to try and use the death teleportation skill I had been working on in my free time before the mission.
I managed to perfectly execute it and teleported behind the titan, slashing it in half.
"MY TITAN!! WILL I BE ABLE TO SUMMON IT AGAIN?" Petra screamed.
"Relax, Petra. Your titan will never be gone. You will be able to use it after a day again."
"Oh ok," Petra said, relieved.
At this point I was exhausted, so called off my Death Avatar and collapsed on the ground, sweating from exhaustion.
"That was hard... I think I need a rest."
"You have surprised me Medtyx. You can rest for some time." Elean said.
"She's right. You should rest. Using Death Energy takes a lot of concentration and stress. Once you feel good, we will work on your newfound powers."
"Ok... sounds good," I said, out of breath.
"At least you have a limit, right Matthew?" Bianca said.
"I guess.." I replied.
I heard them talking something about me almost at a true god-level, but I was too tired at that time to care.
And so, I fell asleep.
When I woke up after what they said was an hour, I felt refreshed and my actual training started.
For Starters, I was instructed to climb up the Ice titan armed with nothing but my Death Energy alone. I fell lots of times but I just teleported away out of danger. The Ice titan was very slippery. I was told that if I wanted to progress, I had to reach the head of the titan.
I tried and tried, and between breaks, I watched my friends easily progressing through their training routine. And began to feel jealous but reminded me that this was only because I was late for the training and that I had grown the most.
Minutes ticked by. Hours flew past. Yet I couldn't reach the top.
When it was almost time for supper, I finally managed to develop a technique in which I use teleportation multiple times to reach the top of the slippery titan.
"I DID IT!" I said, triumphing in my victory.
"Truly amazing, Medtyx. What a genius way to conquer your problems!" Said The Queen, praising me.
On her orders, Bianca called her titan back.
"My queen, may I ask you something?" Edric said.
"Yes? I'm all ears." Elean said.
"Who manages the city? You're almost all the time training us." Edric questioned.
"The king. Now come, it's time to eat." She said.
CHAPTER 10: Final Training, Final part
After Cyrus woke me up at the crack of dawn rather aggressively, I knew it was time for the long training session to begin.
"Get up! Everyone is already at the training grounds!" He yelled.
Half-asleep, I said, "Huh? What? Where? How?"
"WAKE UP SLEEPYHEAD! YOU NEED TO GO TO THE TRAINING GROUNDS!" Cyrus yelled again.
"Huh? Oh yeah, right." I said, being jolted awake.
"FINALLY! I can go back now." Cyrus said.
After watching him exit, I washed my face with warm water and got dressed for the training session.
Walking out of my room and out of the palace, I thought of what I will be focusing on today. Another one of my newfound abilities? Or learning a completely different one?
Anyways, I reached the training grounds and although it seemed empty, I walked into it and sure enough, I got teleported into a whole another realm by the queen's magic.
"Good morning, Queen Elean," I said, ready.
"Morning... Matthew. We must not lose a moment." Elean said, sitting on a simple chair to observe us.
"Ok so... what are we gonna do today?" I asked.
"Fight two more titans," Custen said, emerging from behind a tree.
"Yes... that is true, Custen. Thanks."
"So that means I don't need to do anything else?" I inquired.
"We'll see. Now should we get on with it?" Elean said, impatient about the time.
"Sure. so who's first?" I asked.
"Electricity," Edric said, Unleashing his titan with a flurry of electric blasts, which I blocked by forming a barrier from some Death Energy as I prepared to call out my Death Avatar.
I first shaped a thin version of the avatar around me while increasing the height of the Death Energy Wall. Then I made the wall a little thinner to
use that Death Energy to lift and position myself in the head of the avatar then I faced the wall, where the titan was and absorbed the wall in one go to finish my avatar.
"A fine way to defend yourself while transforming in a fight, Sir Medtyx!" Custen said.
"Oh yeah? How about this?" Edric said, making his titan conjure a mini storm above me and my avatar.
I didn't worry about it and used some of the enhanced magic from the mages' power in my army and dispersed the stormcloud. I started running towards the titan. I reshaped my sword into a fancy-looking spear and thrust forward with it, right into the middle of the titan, defeating it.
"NOOOOOOOO!!" Edric screamed in defeat, falling to the ground.
At least he survived.
With the lightning titan taken care of, I looked around for any attacks and stuff.
Suddenly, a fireball came out of nowhere which I dodged, knowing which titan I was facing.
'The fire titan... I'll just use some water and ice magic and be done with the day', I thought.
"It's me you'll be fighting now, Matthew! Let's see who's stronger!" Cyrus said, from the titan's shoulder.
"Cyrus... Do you realize... What a disadvantage you have?" I said, preparing the move I had been saving to fight any fire-related monster.
"Sorry, what? Me, at a disadvantage? NEVER!" He said, commanding his titan to send out massive spiral flames at me.
"I easily blocked the attack with ice, coated my death spear with ice, and enchanted it with water. Then I teleported above his titan, sent a rain of icicles at it, then fell onto it with my spear pointed at its head and split it apart. Cyrus couldn't even react.
"BRAVO MEDTYX!" Elean said, congratulating me.
"Nooo!! I lost!" Cyrus said.
"Ah. Well, that was good. Now time for bed everyone it's nighttime."
"Already? I said.
"Time works differently here. Now chop-chop, we gotta go hunt some wyverns for your army tomorrow."
When I was woken up by Custen at the crack of dawn, I remembered the Wyvern-hunting that was due. So I woke up with a sudden start.
"Good morning, Matthew. Get fresh fast. We have to leave in 15 minutes." He said.
"Good morning, Custen," I said.
So I quickly got fresh and changed into my traveling gear and packed some drinks and food for the journey.
"Is all this packing necessary, my lord?" Custen asked.
"You never know, Custen. You never know. Always gotta be prepared." I said.
"...Ok. Although I would prefer this." Custen said, showing a packet of dry worm snacks.
Dwarves are gross and disgusting that way. Which was why I was bringing my own stuff.
It was then that we heard the neighing of horses outside.
"Looks like your royal carriage has arrived, milord," Custen said, doing a courtesy.
"Ok then. We shouldn't waste our time, let's get a move on." I said.
"Right, sire," Custen said.
When I stepped outside, I saw a black carriage driven by elegant black horses each wearing a necklace decorated with *fake* tiny skulls.
Then I saw the word 'Death' written on the carriage using white tiny skulls and a red scythe painted behind. this was done on both the sides of the chariot.
"Siickkk!!" I said, impressed.
"Not too shabby, eh? We will be traveling in this today. Took a lot of time to make this." Custen said.
"Awesome! Thank you, Custen. I appreciate it." I said.
"My pleasure. Now let's get in, we're getting late." Custen said.
"Wait. let me boost the speed," I said.
I then touched the horses and used my powers to make them part of my skeletals (That's what I'll refer to the death soldiers now.")
Then I added all 5 horses I already had in my army to the main horses.
I charged all their hooves with death energy and tied the extra horse to the main ones with death energy as well.
"All ready to go. Now we'll get there pretty quick." I said.
"I'm impressed now hop in, we got wyverns to catch," Custen said,
When I hopped in, I commanded the horses to move as fast as they could. We started moving very fast that we reached the destination in half the time as intended. Only 5 hours on 10.
"Ok we're here, now what?" I asked, dispersing the horses and the Death Energy.
"We wait for a wyvern to come, then you attack and I'll stay right here in the chariot for backup," Custen replied.
I looked at him, a bit nervous. "You won't come?"
"No. You'll be fine. Now go. There's already a wyvern. And it's a big one." He said.
I called upon all my soldiers and used some to restrain the beast, the rest to attack it from behind to transform it into my skeletal. and conjured up my sword and shield To finish it off.
I thrust my sword into its face and the death energy started corroding its body, transforming it into my skeletal.
It tried to escape by conjuring up its element, which happened to be darkness.
But it was futile. The chilling thing about The Death Energy is that once it starts corroding something into a skeletal, no attacks will be able to escape from the victim. Be it magical attacks or physical attacks. The Death energy will just disintegrate both of them before they can even touch the air. The only way to survive is to dodge. Which the wyvern forgot to do, even when it had wings.
Checkmate. The skin of the Wyvern melted away and it transformed into my skeletal. I hopped on it. It gave a roar which drew in 2 more wyverns, although these were a bit smaller. I left my wyvern and my
skeletals to deal with the one on the left while I dealt with the one on the right. Before I could hit the new wyvern, a skeletal wyvern attacked it, and then I saw that it wasn't the large one. I turned back and saw the large wyvern and my army racing towards the other enemy wyvern.
Then I just stepped aside and let my army do the work.
And so it was done.
"Bravo, Medtyx! Bravo!" Custen said.
"Mission complete?" I asked.
"Mission complete," Custen confirmed.
Chapter 11: Final Mission, Final preparations.
When we got back to the city by wyvern express, my friends saw the three wyverns and attacked with Cyrus's fireball.
I had to use death energy to counter it and let them know it was me.
"Well, I'd be fooled," Elean said.
"Sir... please... can I get off now?" Custen said, clutching one of the wyverns tight.
We landed and I recalled the wyvern skeletals back inside myself. I was starting to get used to the bone-crunching noise.
"Welcome back, Medtyx," Elean said.
"Thank you," I politely said.
"Come on inside, it's time you met the king." She said.
"Wait. so soon?" Edric asked.
"We got planning to do with him. Better get ready."
"Custen is correct," Elean said. "We won't underestimate the Tragons now."
We headed inside the castle and went straight to the courtroom. The king was seated on his throne.
"Greetings, forces. I believe this is the first time we are meeting each other?" He said.
"Yes, my king," I said, kneeling. And my friends followed suit.
"Please, do stand up. Oh! Where are my manners? I'm Elberus, king of elves."
"Thank you, dear. But we must move ahead with the planning." Elean said.
"Oh yes! I almost forgot!" Elberus exclaimed "Eldric, can you please get me the map of the Zodrian Continent?"
"Yes, milord," Said an elven guard-attendant standing in the corner (who I assumed correctly was Eldric).
"Good. Elita! Please bring some tea for me, the queen, and our guests." Elberus said.
"Right away, my king." Said the royal maid, Elita
A few minutes later, we were drinking good old-fashioned tea and planning for the final fight with the tragons.
Bliss.
"Where are we gonna attack from?" Petra questioned.
"From the behind. Directly attacking the chief's hut." Elberus said. "We'll take him out by surprise."
"What about the prince.. and his generals? They were pretty strong as well from what we heard from Matthew." Bianca said.
"Although I admit they are strong and will be a challenge to you guys even with your powers enhanced through training, their powers will be no match to you once you manage to kill the leader. They will lose the majority of their strength and magic. All the soldiers will lose their wings and the prince and his generals will have their wings shortened to a great extent. which will rob them of their most lethal weapon, Mobility." Elberus said.
"Ok. That settles it then. We get inside the hut, Bianca freezes Talos, then Cyrus melts the ice into water. and Edric then zaps him with all his power.
Then petra can just run an earth spear through him. Job done." Virginia said.
"Easier said than done," Elean said. "Talos won't easily die. If executed, he'll be weakened, but alive. and he can use a recovery spell."
"Then I'll just have to deliver the final blow. I'll coat my scythe with death energy and stab through him and leave it there." I said. "Then if he survives, I'll just let the death energy slowly transform him into my skeletal. And while he's already doomed, I'll speed up the process by transforming into my avatar and weaken him more until he fully transforms."
"Awesome plan. It might just work. This might be it!" Elberus said.
"Ok. That settles it. You set out first light tomorrow." Elean concluded.
CHAPTER 12: Xarinterth, Destroyer of life.
WHEN I WOKE UP I REMEMBERED that today we were to fight the tragons on the final battlefield.
"Hey Cyrus, get up!" I said, surprised that everyone was asleep.
"Huh? OH SHI-" he said, jolting awake.
"GUYS WAKE UP WE HAVE TO LEAVE IN 30 MINUTES!!" Cyrus screamed, yanking the blankets away from them.
"OH, I ALMOST FORGOT!" Petra said.
"WHERE ARE MY SHOES?" Edric said
"GUYS LET'S GO WE ARE VERY LATE!" Bianca said.
"THIS MIGHT BE IT GUYS. WE MIGHT BE GOING HOME!" Virginia said.
"Let's get moving then!" I said.
We headed downstairs to get our weapons and go to the battlefield.
For some reason... I felt like this was not all. It will not be over after this fight... there will be several more battles to fight.
"Forces, you are just in time. As we know, the Tragons are Nocturnal, meaning that they are asleep right now. Take them out by surprise." Elberus said.
"Got it. Now on what will we be riding?" I asked.
"Your friends will be riding on their titans. But you will be combining all 3 wyverns, forming the death trinity dragon and riding it." Elean said.
I watched all my friends summoning their titans and heading to the Tragon Village.
"Come on, Matthew! It can't be that hard! You've created the avatar by yourself now, haven't you?" Custen said, encouraging me.
"Where did you come from, Custen?" Elberus questioned.
"Uhh... The toilet?" Custen said.
"Oh god Custen... just leave us," Elean said.
"Right, milady" Custen said, slowly exiting.
After he left, Elberus told me to have a shot at creating the trinity death dragon.
'Fire, Darkness, and lightning. As a trinity dragon. As my skeletal. My mount."
So, being buttered up by power and an awesome mount, I summoned my 3 wyverns and fused them, and succeeded. But something was off. I had created not the trinity dragon of death but the trinity wyvern of death.
"Uhh... what?" I said, confused. "Isn't it supposed to be a dragon?"
"Oh yes. That's step 1. Step 2 is to make it drink dragon blood." Elean said.
"Here. Our elite healers treated a dragon and we got some of its blood." Elberus said. "This should be enough."
He then proceeded to make the trinity wyvern drink all of the blood.
It worked. It transformed, It became half the size of a titan.
I had the actual Trinity Dragon of Death at my disposal.
"HOW MAY I ASSIST MY NEW MASTER?" It asked.
"Woahhh..." The Elven King and queen said at once.
"First of all..." I said, using death energy to catapult myself onto its back. "...I'll be turning you into a permanent skeletal," I said, binding the skeletal's form so that it will stay as the trinity dragon of death whenever I summon it. "And second of all... I am going to ride you into battle. And I am going to need your help in eradicating the Tragons."
"THOSE HALF-BLOODS HAVE DARED TO SHOW THEIR FACE WHEN I, XARINTERTH, DESTROYER OF LIFE AND GREATEST OF THE 4 TRINITY DRAGONS, AM BACK? THEY MUST PERISH!" He said.
Then I saw custen come out only to look at the dragon and faint.
I trifled my laugh.
"Cool, cool," I said. "Let's go then. we are pretty late."
We flew up into the sky and I heard Elberus and Elean talking about how Xarinterth was able to talk as a skeletal and that he was one of the three... whatever it meant.
While we were whizzing past the clouds, I asked my Trinity Dragon about his past and the world of dragons.
"IT WAS A LONG, LONG TIME AGO. WE TRINITY DRAGONS RULED THIS ENTIRE WORLD. WE COULD TRAVEL THROUGH UNIVERSES BY COMBINING OUR POWERS. THEN ALL THE LESSER LIZARDS WE RULED GOT INFECTED BY A PLAGUE..." He said.
"THEY TURNED ON US! THEY HAD BECOME A LOT BIGGER. MUCH MORE LIKE US... BUT ONLY ONE HEAD. IT WAS HORRIFIC." Xarinterth said. "THEY OUTNUMBERED US... I LOST ALL MY FRIENDS IN THE CARNAGE. I DEFENDED MYSELF UNTIL I REACHED A CAVE. THERE, I WAS FORCED INSIDE. I COLLAPSED THE ROCKS. AFTER SOME TIME, THEY LEFT..." He said, seeming sad and losing his booming voice.
"I HEARD MY FRIENDS BREATHING THEIR LAST WHILE FIGHTING THE ABOMINATION. THEN I REMEMBERED I HAD TO KEEP QUIET SO THAT I DON'T DRAW THEIR ATTENTION. I THEN WENT DORMANT."
"I'm... I'm so sorry to hear." I said.
"IT'S FINE. THEY DIED BECAUSE THEY WERE WEAK. I WOKE UP TO FIND THAT THE WORLD HAD CHANGED. I WALKED OUT OF THE CAVE TO INSPECT FURTHER." He said.
"I DIDN'T REALIZE I HAD WALKED RIGHT INTO A MAGIC TRAP SET UP BY THE LESSER DRAGONS. BUT THEY WERE NOWHERE TO BE SEEN. INSTEAD, I SAW THEM. THE TRAGONS. THEY WERE THE CAUSE OF MY DOWNFALL. ORIGINALLY, THEIR MAGIC WAS GREATER THAN ANYTHING I HAD SEEN, GREATER THAN EVEN MINE."
"THEY KILLED ME. UTTERLY. BUT NOW I AM BACK. THANKS TO MY LIEGE'S POWER. AND SINCE THEIR MAGIC HAS WEAKENED A LOT THROUGH TIME, I SEEK REVENGE UNDER MY LIEGE."
We had reached. I felt sorry for him. I wanted him to avenge his friends.
CHAPTER 13: Attack on Tragon Village
WHEN I SAW THE TRAGONS BATTLING MY FRIENDS AND NEARLY overpowering them, I commanded Xarinterth to get rid of the tragons surrounding my friends and their titans.
He did it with so much grandeur.
He eliminated the generals instantly and severely wounded the prince.
"MATTHEW!!" All my friends said, celebrating.
"OH< I'VE NEVER BEEN MORE HAPPIER TO SEE YOU," Edric said.
"Ok, I'll take it as a compliment. XARINTERTH! Leave the tragons to me and my friends you fight the prince and the chief.
"THANK YOU, MASTER. I'LL LEAVE THE LESSER BEINGS TO YOU THEN."
"IT CAN'T BE! TALOS SAW XARINTERTH BE KILLED BY HIS GRANDFATHER! YOU SHOULD NOT BE ALIVE!"
"IT'S TRUE, TALOS. I WAS INDEED KILLED BY YOUR TREACHEROUS ANCESTOR. BUT IT'S ALSO TRUE THAT I HAVE BEEN WOKEN UP BY THE POWER OF DEATH AND HAVE COME FOR REVENGE." Xarinterth said. "I WILL ANNIHILATE ALL OF THE TRAGONS AND ERASE THE TRACES OF THEIR EXISTENCE ONCE AND FOR ALL."
"FATHER, IF IT'S THE GREAT XARINTERTH, THE MOST FEARED TRINITY DRAGON..." Veo began.
"TALOS IS WELL AWARE, VEO. IT WILL BE HARD TO BATTLE HIM WITH ONLY US TWO. CALL THE TRAGONS!"
'Oh no, you don't. Not while I'm here.' I thought
I then summoned my death energy and encaged the tragons inside and then went in.
"Kill any tragon that manages to get out, I'm counting on you guys," I said to my friends.
"Yeah, SURE. Just LEAVE us with nothing good to do!" Cyrus said.
"Come on Cyrus, don't be mad. Let's heal up." Virginia said.
I left my friends outside and completely cut myself out from the outside world.
"SCREEEEEEEEEE! MEDTYX! WHERE HAVE YOU PUT US??" Said the tragons in unison.
"At death's door," I said, summoning my army and transforming myself into the 225-meter tall avatar
Seeing me, they also grew a little but not enough to be as tall as me.
Standing 70-90 meters tall, they charged at me I stabbed them all repeatedly and whenever they cornered me, I would teleport behind them and slash my sword again.
They stood no chance. One more thing I had just discovered about corrosive death energy was that if lots of organisms of the same species were together, it would spread like a plague until all were transformed into skeletals.
Which was what happened with the tragons.
They suddenly shrunk to half of what they were, and the death energy plague seemed to fasten.
This told me that the prince and the chief were being defeated.
Then all of a sudden, the tragons stopped attacking me and stood still.
They had fully transformed. My army was becoming stronger.
I called the death energy shield back. I walked outside.
The tragons that had escaped quickly caught the death energy plague and became my skeletals as well.
The generals and Xarinterth were finishing off the chief and the prince. I saw that they caught a nice case of death energy corrosiveness as well.
"THIS CAN'T BE IT... TALOS HAS SO MUCH MORE TO DO! YOU CAN NOT DO THIS TO TALOS!"
"Whatever, Talos. Just surrender to the power of death! Look at what has happened to your village. Your soldiers. Join them and you can rule over them again. You can fight alongside me. Don't you say so, Veo?" I said.
"YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! YOU CAN'T-"
And he was a skeletal. Unable to speak, forever in my army. He turned on his father and jabbed his sword through him. Turning him as well into my skeletal.
The Tragons were finally defeated. The land was safe.
Most importantly, I had new toys.
EPILOGUE
We returned to the castle in all our glory.
We told the queen of our success and I showed her what had
become of the tragons.
We had a good laugh and ate a really good meal to celebrate.
We thought that Chaos would not throw any trouble at us after failing so badly. But we were wrong. I would feel it. More trouble was brewing.
I WAS READY.
BRING. IT. ON.
Amazing Teddy! So proud of you 🫂🥰💓
